New coloured Orange Vande Bharat Express launched by Indian Railways

Orange Vande Bharat Express has finally hit the tracks and as expected mesmerizing it's looks 

 Indian Railways has unveiled the new orange and gray color themed Vande Bharat Express. As is the case with all Vande Bharat trains, this too has been manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai. According to the ICF General manager BG Mallya, a new color scheme has been experimented with inspired from saffron color in the national flag. This is the 31st Vande Bharat Express 2.0 rake that has been rolled out by ICF, and the 33rd overall including the two Vande Bharat trains that were launched in 2019.



Vande Bharat: List of improvements in recent train sets

1. Optimization of hardness of cushion

2. Increase in seat reclining angle

3. Increase in wash basin depth to avoid splashing of water in lavatories

4. Improved accessibility of mobile charging point under the seats

5. Colour of seat in Executive Chair Car changed from red to "pleasant blue"

6. Extended foot rest for seats in Executive Chair Car

7. Provision of securing point for wheelchairs of Divyangjan passengers in Driving Trailer coaches where provision for Divyangjan seat is provided

8. Lighting in toilets improved from 1.5 watts to 2.5 watts

9. Improved roller blind fabric with more tear strength with less transparency

10. Water tap aerator to better water flow control

11. Magazine bags for Executive Chair Car class end seats as well

12. Toilet handle given additional bend for improved grip

13. Standardized colours for toilet panels with similar colours all over

14. Improved hammer box cover for easy access in case of emergency

15. Borderless emergency talk back unit (to interact with driver in case of emergency) to match with panel background

16. Improved aerosol based fire detection and suppression system inside the coaches

17. Improved air tightness for better air conditioning with insulation over panels

18. Smooth touch controls for luggage rack lights by change from resistive touch to capacitive touch

19. Modified panels of single piece construction of FRP panels to improve aesthetics inside the coaches

20. Improved upper trim panel for better aesthetics and firmness of panels in coaches

21. Hatch doors for electrical maintenance doors in trailer coaches for easy maintenance

22. Interchange of emergency stop push button in driver control panel for easy operation and access for loco pilot

23. Hinged transparent door assembly for the fire extinguishers in coaches to have better visibility in case of emergency

24. Uniform coloured driver desk in Driving Trailer Coaches for better visibility and aesthetics

25. High Rise pantographs in areas where the landscape and OHE are in higher position
